Japan Industrial Partner's acquisition of Toshiba Corporation Toshiba Corporation was facing losses. So, at that time Japan Industrial Partner (JIP) led consortium gave buyout offer of $14 bn which Toshiba's shareholders accepted. After this deal, Toshiba Corporation became a private company. AirAsia India and Air India Express merger AirAsia India was started as a joint venture between Tata group and AirAsia but AirAsia slowly and steadily sold the shares of AirAsia India to Tata and then, Tata rebranded the airlines to AIX Connect which Tata made a subsidiary of Air India Limited, which was bought by Tata group in 2021.
