Air India and Vistara merger
Tata group has acquired Air India last year. Now tata is merging Air India, subsidiary of Tata now and Tata SIA Airlines i.e. Vistara, joint venture of Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines. Singapore Airlines will hold 25.1% stake and remaining would be hold by Tata.
Adani's acquisition of companies
Adani group has acquired 37.45% stake in New Delhi Television Limited i.e. NDTV through different subsidiaries. This made adani largest stakeholder in company. In another deal, Adani has acquired 64% stake in Ambuja Cement and 7% stake in ACC (hold 50% more through Ambuja Cement).
Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter
Elon Musk started acquiring Twitter shares in January, 2022. Then, it offered $44 billion in hostile takeover and offered was accepted. This made company a private limited.
HDFC and HDFC bank merger
This is one of largest finance and banking deal. After merger, there will be HDFC bank which will be wholly owned by public.
PVR and Inox merger
PVR and Inox Leisure is merging. If this merger is completed after approval, will make largest multiplex chain of India.
